Whether you’re a creator setting up your first tip page or a supporter sending your first on-chain tip, you’re likely to have questions. This page covers the most common ones. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, reach out to the Tip Stack support team directly.

General

Tip Stack is a non-custodial tipping and monetization platform built on Solana. It lets supporters send crypto or fiat payments directly to creators — without Tip Stack ever holding the funds. Creators get a public tip page, an embeddable widget, and a dashboard to track their earnings. Supporters can tip with any Solana token, a credit card, or a bank transfer.
Signing up and creating your creator profile is free. Tip Stack charges approximately 2–5% per tip as a platform fee, depending on the payment method. As a creator, you keep 95% or more of every tip you receive. There are no monthly fees, no setup costs, and no hidden charges.
Tip Stack is available globally for crypto tipping — anyone with a Solana wallet can send or receive tips from anywhere in the world. Fiat payments and the fiat off-ramp (converting your earnings to local currency) are currently supported for NGN (Nigerian Naira) via our partner Pajcash. Support for additional currencies and regions is planned.

Payments & Fees

Tip Stack takes approximately 2–5% of each tip, depending on the payment path. Direct crypto transfers use a 2% fee. Tips that require a token swap (for example, converting one SPL token to another) use a fee of up to 5%. The fee is deducted automatically at the time of the transaction, so you never need to calculate or send it separately. As a creator, you receive 95% or more of every tip directly to your wallet.
You can tip with SOL, USDC, USDT, JUP, BONK, WIF, or virtually any SPL token on Solana. If the token you want to use isn’t natively listed, Jupiter’s swap routing automatically converts it before the tip reaches the creator. You pay with what you have; the creator receives what they prefer.
Yes. Tip Stack supports fiat payments via Fossa Pay, which accepts credit cards and bank transfers. Fiat tipping is currently available for NGN (Nigerian Naira) payments. If you’re outside Nigeria or prefer to pay with crypto, connect a Solana wallet instead.
There is no hard minimum set by Tip Stack. In practice, each Solana transaction carries a small network fee of approximately 0.000005 SOL (a fraction of a cent), so tips need to be large enough to cover that cost. We recommend keeping tips above a few cents to ensure smooth processing.
It depends on the creator’s settings. By default, auto-convert to USDC is enabled, which means Tip Stack automatically swaps your token into USDC before it arrives in the creator’s wallet, regardless of what you sent. Some creators turn off auto-convert and choose to receive the native token you send. You can see a creator’s preferred token on their tip page before you send.

Wallets & Accounts

A crypto wallet is recommended but not strictly required. If you sign up with your email address, Tip Stack automatically creates an embedded MPC wallet for you via Dynamic Labs — no browser extension or seed phrase needed. If you already have a Solana wallet, you can connect it directly and tip from your existing balance.
Tip Stack supports all major Solana-compatible wallets, including:
  • Phantom
  • Solflare
  • Backpack
  • Coinbase Wallet
  • Any wallet that implements the Solana Wallet Standard
If your wallet supports Solana, it will almost certainly work with Tip Stack.
An embedded wallet is a Solana wallet that Tip Stack creates for you automatically when you sign up with your email address, powered by Dynamic Labs. It uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation) to secure your private key — meaning no single party, including Tip Stack, ever holds your full key. You don’t need to manually back up a seed phrase. Your wallet is tied to your account login and accessible any time you sign in.
Yes. You can link multiple Solana wallets to your Tip Stack account from your profile settings. This is useful if you want to receive tips to one wallet while using another for everyday transactions, or if you manage multiple creator profiles.

For Creators

Crypto tips are sent directly to your connected Solana wallet — there is no withdrawal step required. Because Tip Stack is non-custodial, the funds never pass through Tip Stack’s accounts. As soon as the Solana transaction is confirmed, the tokens are in your wallet and yours to use however you like.
Solana finalizes transactions in approximately 400 milliseconds. Your Tip Stack dashboard reflects the confirmed tip within a few seconds of the transaction being finalized on-chain, once our on-chain indexer delivers the confirmation event. In most cases, you’ll see tips appear in real time.
Yes. If you’re in Nigeria, you can convert your crypto earnings to NGN and withdraw directly to a local bank account via our off-ramp partner Pajcash. This feature requires completing a KYC (Know Your Customer) verification step. You can initiate an off-ramp from your creator dashboard.
You can add the Tip Stack widget to any website with a single line of code. Head to the Widget & Embed page in the documentation for the full setup guide, including how to customize the theme, authorize your domain, and configure event callbacks.

Troubleshooting

A “pending” tip is waiting for on-chain confirmation from the Solana network. A tip’s status won’t change to “confirmed” until our on-chain indexer reports that the transaction has been finalized on-chain. This usually takes only a few seconds. If a tip stays pending for more than a few minutes, check the transaction status directly on Solana Explorer.
The most common cause is a domain whitelist mismatch. Tip Stack’s widget only loads on domains you’ve explicitly authorized. Open your dashboard settings, navigate to the Widget section, and confirm that the exact domain where you’ve embedded the widget (including www or without, and http vs https) is listed. Save your changes and reload your site.
Fiat payments are processed by Fossa Pay. If your payment failed, try the following steps:
  1. Check that your bank hasn’t blocked the transaction (some banks flag crypto-related merchants).
  2. Verify you haven’t exceeded your bank’s daily transfer limit.
  3. Retry the payment — transient network issues occasionally cause failures.
  4. If the problem persists, contact Fossa Pay support directly with the transaction reference number from your confirmation screen.
Start by looking up your transaction hash on Solana Explorer. If the transaction shows as confirmed on-chain, the funds have been delivered to the creator’s wallet and the issue may be a display delay in their dashboard. If the transaction shows as failed, your funds were not deducted and you can try again. If you’re still unsure, contact Tip Stack support and include your transaction hash so the team can investigate.
