# Supported Payment Methods for Tipping on Tip Stack
> Tip Stack accepts SOL, USDC, and 10+ SPL tokens via Solana wallets, plus NGN fiat payments by credit card or bank transfer through Fossa Pay.
Tip Stack supports two payment rails: a crypto rail powered by Solana, and a fiat rail powered by Fossa Pay for Nigerian naira payments. Both routes deliver tips directly to the creator's wallet — no custodial intermediary holds funds at any point.
The minimum tip amount is \*\*$0.50 USD equivalent** for crypto payments. Network fees on Solana are approximately **0.000005 SOL** (~$0.001) per transaction and are paid by the sender on top of the tip amount.
## Paying with a Solana wallet
Connect any Solana-compatible wallet and pay with the token of your choice. Tip Stack accepts SOL and all major SPL tokens. If the token you send differs from the creator's preferred asset, Tip Stack automatically converts your token to the creator's preferred currency at the best available rate — you never have to hold the exact token a creator prefers.

Additional SPL tokens are supported as long as a valid swap route exists for them. If no route can be found, Tip Stack surfaces an error before you sign.
### Slippage protection
Tip Stack enforces server-side slippage limits to protect you from unfavourable swaps. The maximum slippage for any token swap is **0.5%**. If market conditions push the required slippage above this threshold, the transaction will not proceed and you'll be asked to retry.
### How the swap works
1. You select your token and enter a USD amount.
2. Tip Stack fetches a real-time price and converts the USD value to the equivalent token amount.
3. A payment is prepared on the server — either a direct transfer (when no swap is needed) or an automatic token conversion.
4. The transaction is returned to your wallet for signing — you see the exact instructions before you approve.
5. After signing, the transaction is submitted and Helius confirms it on-chain.
### Gasless transactions
Some creators enable **gasless mode**. When active, the network fee is subsidised — you pay no SOL fee for the transaction. The checkout page indicates when gasless mode is available for a creator.
### Solana Pay QR code
Every creator's checkout page displays a **Solana Pay QR code**. Scan it with any Solana Pay-compatible mobile wallet (Phantom Mobile, Solflare Mobile, and others) to complete the tip entirely from your phone without navigating to the web page.
## Paying with Nigerian naira
Supporters in Nigeria can pay in **NGN** using a credit card or bank transfer through **Fossa Pay**, without needing a crypto wallet. The tip is converted and settled to the creator's Solana wallet automatically after payment clears.
### How fiat payment works
1. On the checkout page, select the **Pay with NGN** option.
2. Enter the amount in naira. Tip Stack shows you the equivalent USD value for reference.
3. Choose your payment method — **credit/debit card** or **bank transfer**.
4. You are presented with Fossa Pay's payment instructions (account details for bank transfer, or a card form for card payments).
5. Complete the payment in your banking app or with your card details.
6. Fossa Pay notifies Tip Stack once the payment settles, and the creator's wallet is credited.
### Fees for fiat payments
A **5% platform fee** is applied to fiat tips. This covers fiat-to-crypto conversion, Fossa Pay processing costs, and Tip Stack's operating fee. The creator receives the net amount after this deduction.

Fiat payments currently support **NGN only**. If you need to pay in another fiat currency, use the crypto rail with a stablecoin such as USDC.
### Settlement time
Card payments typically settle within **a few minutes**. Bank transfers may take up to **30 minutes** depending on your bank. The creator's dashboard will show the tip as pending until the payment confirms.
